Why Broccoli will Not Save Your Life: Local Food Cultures and the Future of the Planet
About The Lecture:
In this talk, farmer and permaculture expert, Dr Aparajita Sengupta, who has been growing her own poison-free food for the last 12 years will explore vital questions related to local and chemical-free food systems. The discussion will cover why 10,000 years of chemical free farming gave way to the lethal agri poisons of the last 50 years, the rise of organic food as an elite and exotic market, and the slim chance of survival offered to the human species based on their choice of food.
